Lorenzen, Angela

Angela Lorenzen has been showing and selling her paintings since 1993 and has painted full-time since 2009. The subjects of her high-realism acrylic paintings range from Canadian landscapes and animals to still life and architecture. Lorenzen's paintings have been exhibited at a number of art shows and sold both privately and in commercial galleries.

The combination of high realism with a sensitivity for the spirit of a subject has resulted in Lorenzen's distinctive painting style. Travel and photography are the essential first steps in Lorenzen's creative process. Depth, luminosity and sharp focus are achieved by slowly building up thin, semi-transparent layers of paint until a hyper-realistic effect is achieved.
